What can I recycle in Jackson Hole?

Aluminum Beverage Cans   
Aluminum Foil & Pie Plates  Please keep seperate from cans 
Batteries  We can recycled batteries at the Recycling Center. Please tape the terminals of each battery. 
Cell Phones & Other Handheld Electronics  There is a bucket at the Recycling Center where these electronics can be placed for recycling.
Corrugated Cardboard  Corrugated boxes with ridges & brown paper bags. No single-ply cardboard (cereal boxes)
Glass Bottles and Jars 

Glass must be free of contamination and sorted by color: green, clear and brown. 

Acceptable: soda, beer, wine & liquor bottles; juice and food containers

Not Acceptable: ceramic beer & wine caps; lead collars from wine and champagne bottles; ceramic cups, plates and pottery; crystal, drinking glasses; mirrors and window glass; heat-resistant ovenware; light bulbs; stones and dirt.

Magazines & Catalogs Glossy Only 
Newspaper  Newspaper and inserts that come with your paper. 
Office Pack 

 Acceptable: computer, copier, fax & pastel colored paper; receipts; envelopes (window envelopes are okay); adding machine tape; manila/bleached file folders; carbon-less paper; business cards; glossy flyers; NCR forms; white bond; index cards; staples are okay.

Not Acceptable: paper clips; florescent or deep-toned paper; construction paper; rubber bands; glue-bound publications; tyvek envelopes; 8-1/2x11"golden" envelopes; ream rap; photos; blue prints; plastic; paper cups or plates; napkins; paper towels; or boxes of any kind.

Phone Books   
Plastic #1 PETE Bottles Bottles only, rinse, flatten, and remove caps. (Code is on bottom of container.) Including soft drink, juice, water, cleaner bottles and cooking and peanut butter jars.
Plastic #2 HDPE Bottles  Bottles only, rinse, flatten, and remove caps. (Code is on bottom of container.) Including milk and water jugs, bleach detergent, shampoo, household cleaners, and vitamin bottles. (Motor oil bottles are #2, but are not acceptable at JCR.)
Plastic #2 Grocery Bags  #2 HDPE and #4 LDPE Plastic BAGS ONLY (newspaper bags, grocery bags, dry cleaner bags, etc.). Bags MUST be clean, dry, and empty of all food, receipts, etc. No need to remove tape and stickers. Please NO sandwich bags, plastic food wrap, candy wrapper, or black bags.
Scrap Metal  No appliances. No refrigerators, freezers or air conditioners! There is a $25,000 Federal Fine for improper disposal of freon. They can be taken to the Trash Transfer Station.
Steel/ Tin Cans
