Agency Services
Communicable Disease Program
Efforts include free, confidential HIV testing and counseling, tuberculosis screening, case management, and outreach, as well as investigation of potential disease outbreaks.
Adult Health
Services include health screenings, long-term care assessments, and referrals to area health services.
Immunizations
Adult Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, tetanus, pneumococcal, vaccines are offered. Vaccines for children who qualify. Meningococcal vaccines to college students. Special seasonal clinics provide on-site immunizations, such as flu.
Maternal and Child Health Program
Offers home visits and breastfeeding counseling for new mothers; Best Beginnings for Wyoming Babies provides services to assure healthy babies through education, support, and access to prenatal care; Children`s Health Services supplies financial assistance and support for children with special needs; Home Visiting Program for pregnant and parenting families; Daycare/Parenting Programs include daycare provider consultation, Prenatal/Infant CPR classes(non-certified), and New Mom support groups on a variety of infant and self-care topics; lending library; lead screening.
Inspections
Services protect the community by preventing the spread of disease and infection through basic sanitation and screening for environmental hazards. Inspections of food establishments, commercial pools/spas, daycare agencies, campgrounds, Bed & Breakfasts
Temporary foodstand permitting
An application must be submitted at least 14 days in advance for any event where food will be served to the public.
Testing
Water testing of pools/spas and private wells, radon testing, lead testing
Investigations
Foodborne investigation, and complaint investigation.
