The Prevention Bureau of Jackson Hole Fire/EMS invites interested electricians to attend the annual Jackson Electrical Code seminar offered by the Wyoming Chapter of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI). The seminar provides 8 hours worth of Continuing Education Units. 

 

The seminar is on Saturday, November 3, 2012, from 8am until 5:00pm at the down town Jackson, Station 1 firehouse in the upstairs training room located at 40 Pearl Avenue.  Lunch and breaks will be provided.

 

This year’s class includes a presentation on Health Care Facilities by Rob Forister from the town of Sheridan and an open question and answer session on code topics facilitated by Borgia Noel from the Wyoming State Fire Marshal’s office. 

 

The fee for the training for members of IAEI is $100 and non-members, $150.  Registration forms may be found on the Jackson Hole Fire/EMS web site www.tetonwyo.org/fire .  Further questions may be directed to an electrical inspector at Jackson Hole Fire/EMS, .

Smoke alarms that are 10 years old are near the end of their service life and should be replaced.  Batteries should be changed once a year and devices should be checked every month.   For more information on smoke alarms, call our office at 733-4732.
