IS-7 A Citizen's Guide to Disaster Assistance
This class details what you can expect as a citizen from your government in the form of assistance following a disaster. Of course, the time to take this course is before a tragedy strikes and not after.

IS-22 Are You Ready? An In-Depth Guide to Citizen Preparedness
The title says it all: this class was made to give citizens a broad overview of natural, man made, and terrorist type disasters and how to react to them. It teaches you about preparedness kits, sheltering in place, and other important skills. This course is highly recommended by Teton County Emergency Management. Even if you do not take the test, we recommend that you follow this link to get your free copy of the Are You Ready? course guide. This is a fantastic resource to have around the house in the event of a disaster, and once again, it is free from FEMA. You can also call 1.800.480.2520 to get your free copy.

IS-36 Multihazard Planning for Childcare

This course covers the steps to help childcare providers prepare for incidents to ensure the safety of the children at their site. Childcare providers must have plans and procedures to keep children safe from everyday hazards and to respond and recover when an emergency happens.

IS-55 Household Hazardous Materials - A Guide For Citizens
With the plethora of cleaners, solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals around the home, it is prudent to know a little about how they can affect your family's health. This course teaches the basics of how chemicals affect people and how you can prevent injury or death due to chemical contact.

IS-317 Introduction to Community Emergency Response Teams
Although this class in and of itself will not certify you to be a CERT member, it will give you a very good foundation to build upon if you decide to take the CERT class through Teton County Emergency Management and Jackson Hole Fire/EMS. IS-325 Earthquake Basics: Science, Risk, and Mitigation

This 30 minute independent study course presents basic information on earthquake science, risk, and mitigation. It also discusses techniques for structural and non-structural earthquake mitigation. Earthquake Basics is targeted to a wide range of audiences, including homeowners, business owners, the private sector, federal, state, tribal and local government workforce at all levels, first responders, non-profit organizations, volunteers, and community-based organizations. Although certification is not a part of the course, short quizzes are included to enhance interactivity and to boost retention.

This course provides guidance to individuals and organizations on how to improve the security in your workplace. No workplace—be it an office building, construction site, factory floor, or retail store—is immune from security threats.

IS-907 Active Shooter: What You Can Do

An active shooter is an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined and other populated area. In most cases, active shooters use firearms and there is no pattern or method to their selection of victims. Active shooter situations are unpredictable and evolve quickly.

All employees can help prevent and prepare for potential active shooter situations. This course provides guidance to individuals, including managers and employees, so that they can prepare to respond to an active shooter situation.

The purpose of this course is to present a model program for community preparedness. In addition, resources materials are available to help organizations conduct simple preparedness activities for everyone.

The purpose of this course is to make persons involved in commercial retail operations aware of the actions they can take to identify and report suspicious purchases or thefts of products that actors could use in terrorist or other criminal activities.
