Flu Vaccine to be Offered at the Teton County Health Department

Jackson, WY - September 9th, 2021 - Teton County Health Department officials are strongly encouraging people in the community to get a flu vaccine. We will offer both COVID and Flu vaccines at our ongoing clinic site, Wednesday through Saturday, beginning September 22ndIf you are interested in receiving both vaccines, you are able to do so at the same appointment. Appointments will be open starting Monday, September 13th at 9:00 AM. 


Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, getting a flu vaccine is more important than ever and will help protect yourself, your family, and your community. A flu vaccine this season can also help reduce the burden on our healthcare systems as they are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and will save medical resources for care of COVID-19 patients. 


People looking to get a flu shot may make an appointment online at We will have the quadrivalent vaccine, which provides protection against four strains of the flu virus. 

Individuals ages 65+ years are eligible to receive a high dose influenza vaccine, which is also a quadrivalent vaccine and will be available at our ongoing clinic. 


On Friday, October 1, Teton County Health Department will host a flu clinic at the Senior Center of Jackson Hole from 9am to 4pm. This clinic will have an adequate supply of high dose vaccines for the number of appointments available. Appointments for the Senior Center clinic will be required and can be made here. Please call our Call Center if you need assistance in making your appointment or have other questions.


Payment will be needed to receive your influenza vaccine. We accept most insurances, cash, checks or credit cards. Please check with your health insurance provider to see if a flu shot is covered by your plan. Full information about fees and same-day payment discounts can be found on our website.


In addition to the Teton County Health Department, other area pharmacies have flu vaccines available now. Vaccines will also be readily available at St. John's Health offices, in addition to independent providers around town.
