March 23rd, 2020, Jackson, WY- With the Teton County Board of County Commissioner’s vote on Friday to restrict public access at all County Buildings effective Monday, March 23,2020 through April 3rd, 2020, Teton County Health Department wants to let the community know how they can still access our services.  Our staff will still be available to serve the public through alternative methods Monday through Friday 8am-5pm.

Nursing Services: All nursing appointments will first go through a phone screening.  Most appointments will be conducted via telehealth.  For appointments that are deemed urgent and cannot be done via telehealth a face to face visits will be scheduled.

The public will be able to access birth control, Plan B (emergency contraceptives) and other sexual/reproductive health services as needed by appointment. Our nurses are available to answer questions and make referrals as needed.

Environmental Health Services: Our EPA certified water lab will remain open and will continue to accept EPA required water samples.  Testing will continue to take place Monday and Tuesdays.  Please leave your sample in the provided cooler outside the front door of the Health Department building.  Individuals wishing to test private drinking water samples must first call the Environmental Health Division at 732-8490 for approval.  Pool and spa bacteriological samples will not be tested while the Teton Health District Officer Public Health Order #20-2 is in place.

If you require a temporary food service license, please call the Environmental Health Division at 732-8490.  Radon test kits will not be sold at this time.  Check for other possible sources.
