Emergency Planning
Emergency Management develops and maintains the Teton County/Town of Jackson Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP), which consists of several governmental emergency and mitigation plans. We also assist local businesses with Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP) and work with regional partners to develop congruent emergency plans.
Training & Exercises
Our office facilitates a community exercise program for emergency responders, private partners, and others. We also deliver courses to the public including Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training, FEMA's "Are You Ready?" personal preparedness course, NWS's Weather Spotter course, NWS's Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, & Snow (CoCoRaHS) network training, and others.
Grant Assistance & Administration
Our agency is responsible for several grants issued by the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security (WOHS). We also assist other public safety agencies with Homeland Security grant acquisitions and requirements.
Emergency Operations Center Management
Our agency manages and maintains the Teton County Emergency Operations Center (EOC). This is the facility where major policy level decisions, disaster declarations, situation monitoring, and recovery efforts are coordinated from during a disaster.
Emergency Alert System Coordinator
Teton County Emergency Management coordinates the various methods used to alert and immediately inform the public during an emergency situation. These methods are all part of our local area Emergency Alert System (EAS).
